When You Wish Upon a Star grants the magical Wishes of children aged 4-16 who live with a life threatening and terminal illnesses.
When You Wish Upon a Star grants the magical Wishes of children aged 4-16 who live with a life threatening and terminal illnesses.
We are proud to have sponsored the Santa Fun Run in Nottingham, the proceeds of which helped enable hundreds of children to swap hospital beds for sleigh rides transporting them away from appointments, treatments and injections to the winter wonderland of Lapland in Finland on board a Santa Express flights.
When You Wish Upon a Star believes every child deserves to smile, providing time away, giving children and their families something to look forward to through times of uncertainty and often financial as well as emotional strain. Wishes and Treats allow the family to put their child’s illness on hold as they have fun and create precious memories.
Foxwood Academy
We helped Foxwood build a sensory garden, clearing away scrub and weeds to make a special space for pupils to enjoy
The Academy supports both young people and adults with special educational needs, helping them access education and build independence.
Rotary
We have sponsored the Charity Horseride organised by Church Wilne Rotary.
This special event helps youngsters enjoy a 10-mile ride through beautiful Derbyshire countryside including the scenic Locko Park and farmland in Dale Abbey, Ockbrook, Spondon and Stanton by Dale, which is kindly made available by farmers and which is not normally accessible to the public.
